Another very clean and robust solution utilizing the User Management Resource Administrator is the UMRA Employee Self Service Portal.

Your end users can be delegated specific rights to update their own Active Directory information. This can also be set up to allow updates on other system such as eDirectory, SQL based and other directory or databases. Often the IT department is overworked and under staffed. By allowing your end users to take control, that work load to help desk is suddenly diminished. In turn, the employees can be productive and the help desk team can tackle more critical issues.

The portal can be configured to incorporate workflow systems for requesting access to groups and new roles.
